"Senior Service"

This is the year where we get,
To choose classes that won't make us fret.
Towards the month of May,
We get the option to escape the end of high school fray.
Senior Service is the name,
That ignites every seniors flame.
It also comes with its own ups and downs,
But could possibly make the work load shed pounds.
This is the perfect opportunity to volunteer,
For something that we feel is very dear.
I would either volunteer at an animal shelter,
Or have to spend the last month of high school as a blur.
After many days of considering what to do,
I finally came to the conclusion that I grew into.
I would stay in school and complete the year,
And remain with my friends and kick into low gear.
