"Hanging in There!"

The end is almost near and soon it will be,
The time where all students shall be free.
No more tests and homework and waking up early,
Instead we can go on a shopping spree!
Just because it's almost the end doesn't mean,
That slacking off can begin to wean.
There's still classes to worry about,
And grades that need to stay on the right route.
For me that class is math,
The only subject  I dislike with a burning wrath.
I have to stay focused on the tests ahead,
So I can maintain a steady tread.
Senior year is not a year to slack,
But instead to keep up the grades and not cut back.
This year is almost over and pretty soon,
Our high school career will have shriveled to a prune.
Till then all we can do,
Is hang in there and wait until everything is through.

  1. I really liked your poem ! You're right, senior year is a year to keep our grades in check but I sometimes can't help but let senioritis take over. I hope that doesn't happen to you! Good luck in your math class for the remainder of the year! You're almost done!
